As you hear the trumpet roar
As you stand in silence
Remember the days
Remember the days where the loud fire of the
gun wounded innocent and lost
Lost in waves of war and terror
Drowning in screams and crys
Remember the brave souls who suffered and died
for a war they did not start
They stood much like you in silence
In reverence
They lost partners and friends
They have seen things that haunt them in the
dead of night
So as you stand in silence as you listen to the
thundering trumpet
Remember the days
Although they may be sad and dark heavy with
tears
They determined the courage and strength of our proud nation
