Nearly 220 toys were collected through the annual Toys for Tickets program this year and delivered to the Red Deer Christmas Bureau.
The City cancelled 216 parking tickets that were issued between November 1 and 30 when the tickets were paid for with a toy. A range of toys were donated by citizens with a total value of $7,300 as part of the 12th year of the Toys for Tickets program.
More than 6,000 toys, games, gift cards and more have been collected since the program started in 2007.
