We’re human too you know, believe it or not.

We really are, I promise you. Even if few of you ever dare to treat us as such.

We work in retail, we do what you tell us to and we take all the blame for your horrible day. Even if it didn’t really have anything to do with us in the first place.

We smile and nod when you yell at us and say that you know better. That we’re just idiots who don’t know what the heck is going on.

Not that all retail people are the nicest most innocent people ever, we’re not. I know that. Everyone has come across retail workers that are just as mean if not meaner than the meanest customers us cashiers have ever encountered.

Still, try to be nice when the person behind the counter, man or woman, child or adult is truly doing their best to give you what you want and send you on your way.

We’re human too, and being told we’re doing a good job once in a while can go a really long way.
