A Red Deer father has been charged with the death of his four-month old daughter.
Julian Thomson, 21, is facing a second-degree murder charge after his infant daughter, Zaria McCall, died at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton on Nov. 26.
Police allege Zaria was at the family home in Red Deer when the injuries that led to her death occurred. She was brought to the Red Deer Regional Hospital by a parent after the injuries occurred. Police were then notified.
Zaria was air lifted by STARS Air Ambulance to the Stollery Children’s Hospital where she died.
RCMP said it took approximately 26 police officers working approximately 400 to
450 hours to investigate this matter.
Thomson made his second appearance in Red Deer provincial court today.
