Blackfalds RCMP recommend motorists avoid driving on the QE2 altogether.
Police issued an advisory Sunday to avoid the areas from Blackfalds to Red Deer in both north and southbound lanes. Traffic is at a stand still.
T1qwshere were several collisions in the areas including a super B semi tractor near the Blindman River on the QE2.
According to 511 Alberta there are numerous collisions in the area affecting traffic.
