At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 29th, RDES responded to a call at the Radisson Hotel at 6500 67 St. for reports of a chlorine leak in the pool area.

A chlorine leak was found and as a result, 19 people were transported to hospital for assessment. No serious injuries are reported.

The chlorine leak was confined to the pool area and chlorine testing was done throughout the hotel; levels were found to be safe and the hotel was not evacuated.

The pool area is closed and will remain closed until the necessary repairs can be made. At this time the cause of the chlorine leak is under investigation.
