Victim left with serious injuries just before midnight on Jan. 22nd

Red Deer RCMP are investigating a stabbing that sent a man to hospital with serious injuries just before midnight on Jan. 22nd.

RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the Riverside Meadows neighbourhood at 11:55 p.m. on Jan. 22nd and determined that a 34-year-old Red Deer man had been stabbed at a residence after an altercation with two males and a female. The victim was stabbed in the torso several times and is in stable condition in hospital.

RCMP do not believe this was a random attack and are working to confirm the identities of the suspects. Updates will be issued as more information becomes available.
