CRASH – On Oct. 6th at 2:30 p.m., Blackfalds RCMP were dispatched to a plane crash in Blackfalds. A lone pilot operating a biplane left Lacombe Airport and was experiencing what witnesses believed to be engine trouble. The plane then crashed in a field in the town of Blackfalds. The pilot was pronounced deceased at the scene. No one else was injured. Transport Canada will be attending the site and investigating further. The name of the deceased will not be released.
